A ten week online course which will increase your knowledge of the gods, goddesses and mythology of the Celtic world.
This course is currently "mothballed". However, if you feel that this is exactly the course you are looking for, feel free to get in touch and let me know. I can't promise that I'll run it again, but anything is possible!
How the Course Works
This course will use a combination of written material sent to you in a weekly PDF, and online interaction via Zoom (a free meeting app). Recordings of the class will be available if you want to listen later.
One of the main aims of this course is to introduce you to online and print resources for further study.

One of the main aims of this course is to introduce you to online and print resources for further study.
Weekly course documents will be emailed to you about a week in advance of each class.
There is only a little required reading for this course, but quite a bit of suggested reading and videos for you to choose from. You will get more out of the course if you allow yourself an hour or two each week to look at some of these. Students are encouraged to attend the live class meetings and to take part in class discussions.
Class meetings will last 90 minutes - 2 hours
Who is this course for?
Everyone is welcome!
What will you learn?
- For anyone who is interested in learning more about Celtic gods and myths.
- If you hardly know anything and are just curious.
- If you know a little but aren’t sure how to study and make sense of things.
Everyone is welcome!
- The only “credentials” you need are a desire to learn about Celtic myths and deities.
- The course will definitely be Pagan-friendly, but non-Pagans are welcome, and since the focus will mostly be on the mythological texts, rather than on how modern people express their devotion to the gods, non-Pagans should feel comfortable with my approach to the material.
- It also doesn’t matter what form your Paganism takes. Devotional polytheists, Wiccans, eclectics, etc. can apply what they learn on the course in whatever way feels appropriate to them.
What will you learn?
- During the course we will take an overview of the main myths of Ireland and Wales, and their deities.
- We will also study a few myths and deities in more detail.
- My main goal is to give you the tools to study independently, with confidence, once the course has ended.
- This is an enormous subject, so a ten-week course can’t cover everything!
